Overview
About Me
My name is Christine, you can call me Chrissy. I just graduated from UMass Amherst with a B.S. in Kinesiology and a minor in psychology! Woo! My boyfriend and I are moving from Mass to Denver and we're hoping to find some good peeps to stay with as we venture out 2000 miles from our old home to our new one. I'll be bringing two hammies (hamsters), Suma and Sisu along with us. They're low maintenance, no worries. We have lived in Mass our entire lives and we want an adventure. Colorado seems like the place to go for us. We love being outdoors and we want take advantage of the rock climbing and I want to learn to snowboard and mountain bike. I love animals, especially big fluffy dogs. My favorite food is cereal (any and all cereals) and I have a stuffed animal red panda named Han that I take with me on all of my adventures. He even has his own photo album now.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on couchsurfing to meet some cool people and learn about how other people live. In my day to day life I only interact with a small group of people, and I think couchsurfing will expand that group and I can hopefully make some new friends and listen to interesting stories. We have so much that we can learn from each other as humans. Couchsurfing is such a great way to explore human connections and travel while having a sense of feeling at home.
Interests
I love animals and people and nature. I was into rock climbing for a while and I need to get back into it, I miss it. I also want to go camping more and learn how to mountain bike and snowboard. I enjoy smelling books and buying notepads and journals, even if I don't fill them up right away.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite music changes from time to time. But the bands that have stuck with me are Third Eye Blind, Nada Surf, and Anberlin. Favorite books are Harry Potter, always. Favorite movies I can never choose.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last summer I volunteered working with a sled dog team in Western Mass. The team was made up of 17 Alaskan Huskies, and one adopted mix. I would work with them 3-5 days a week. We would take them hiking, for runs, sled tours for guests, and my favorite, swimming! We would swim across a river, two dogs to a person and they would pull us across the river! Some nights I would sleepover and get to bring a dog with me for company. Through all the sweat and blood, that will always be something I would do again in a heartbeat.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my love for learning and compassion for people. I love learning about people and hearing stories. I'm always so amazed by people who are willing to open up their homes to others and I hope one day I can do the same.
