Hi, I am Christoph but most people use the shorter form and simply call me Chris.
I am currently living in the Dominican Republic for one year but I am originally from Hamburg, Germany.
I grew up and finished school there. And after 18 years in the same place I had the desire to live abroad and know something new.
I am a calm person who is interested in a ton of stuff.
Just to name two, I enjoy experiencing new cultures and learning languages.
When getting back I will start my bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering with mechanical engineering at the RWTH Aachen University.

A friend of mine recommended me Couchsurfing and told me about a lot of nice experiences she had when traveling Spain and France.
I liked the idea to get into contact with locals which can show you how life as a local really is and which may give you many invaluable tips on how to travel the city apart from tourist paths.
And who knows, some people you met while traveling could become really close friends.

I listen to all kinds of music. If I had to name one genre I listen the most I think I would name country music. But the music I listen to highly depends on my mood and the season we are in.

I can share many interesting stories and a lot of information about Germany and the Dominican Republic with my host. Can give an insight about how it is to live in Hamburg, about universities and just life in Germany/ Europe in general.
I am open for new and would enjoy spending time with my host to do something together if wanted.
If you enjoy cooking as much as I do, I would always be up to prepare dinner together.
