Overview
About Me
I am a German guy living in Santiago de Chile for a few years already.
I like to meet new people and listen to their stories and also hang out with friends. In my free time I do quite a lot of sports, meet with friends for board game nights and hikes and also travel a lot.
I work in the German Chamber of Commerce in Santiago in the renewable energies topic. I work until 18:00 generally, nevertheless I can also host you during the week.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think couchsurfing is a perfect way to travel! Hosting people opens up your mind about other cultures and gives you the opportunity to show your city. When you travel it's very nice to be able to get to know a local and also his or her perspective on the place you are traveling to.

Music, Movies, and Books
In general I am a fan of rock music with many sub-genres, for example bands like Muse, System of a Down, Greta van Fleet or Rammstein. But I am also into Chilean music a lot with bands like Chico Trujillo, Santaferia or Los Prisioneros and also other Latin American bands like Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, Kevin Johansen o Bomba Estéreo.
I really like music and also play some instruments myself, especially drums and keyboards.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was in Chile after the earthquake in 2010 and worked for a volunteering organization and we constructed wooden huts for people who had lost their homes. In spite of their dificult conditions, many people were still happy to live and did everything to help each other and to protect the children from that traumatic event. It was just amazing how they were able to deal with the situation!
Teach, Learn, Share
First of all I can host you in my cosy apartment in Santiago! We could discover some places in Santiago together if there's time for that. Also, if you are keen to learn it, we can practice German a little.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my couch of course and we can spend some time together.
