Overview
About Me
My name is Christopher. I'm originally from the US, but I've been living in Germany for the past couple of years now. I'm currently enrolled as a student at the Ruhr University of Bochum for French, but starting in the Winter I'll be studying Linguistics too. I really enjoy learning languages, meeting new people from different cultures and travelling in general. I've only recently started travelling, so I haven't seen it that much. If you would like to know more, just ask. I don't bite :).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I heard about Couchsurfing from a couple of friends. That's what I thought that I'd give it a try. I would like to travel more and I hope that this website will help me in meeting new people from all different cultures. I'm especially interested in visiting francophone countries as I 'd like to improve my French(B2).
I'll be in France and Belgium a lot this year and I hope to find people in these areas that would like to meet up and have a nice friendly chat. I'm more interested in meeting than I am in being hosted, but we will see what time brings!

Music, Movies, and Books
So, I'm a lover of all kinds of music. I am unfortunately not musically gifted, but I do enjoy listening to it. I love rock, rap, hip hop, RNB, pop, contemporary, metal, techno, eletronic, etc. I also enjoy music from all different languages and cutlures ; French, German, English, Spanish, Chinese, etc. The list goes on and on.
I am honestly not that big of a fan of movies. My favorite movie is The Crow though. Maybe you've heard of it?
Ah books, I don't read as much as I'd like, but I mostly enjoy short stories or poetry books. I like Robert Frost and Rainer Maria Rilke, my favorite poets. One of my favorite novels is "Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and His Years of Pilgrimage" by Haruki Murakami. I also like Le Petit Prince even though some people might say that it is a children's book. It was the first book French that I read !
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Due to the fact that I'm still new to this website, I haven't had the chance to have great experiences. As soon as I do, I will let you know !
Teach, Learn, Share
Like I said before, I would love to improve my French. I speak a bit of Spanish, but at the moment I'm more focused on French. English is my native language and I'd be glad to practice with you if you want. I also speak German pretty well even though it is not my native language.
I'm also interested and open to learning new things too. What would you like to teach me or share with me ?
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'd love to share my knowledge and insight of other cultures and languages. I'm particularly interested in having dialogues about languages and cultures. These topics seem to be boring for most people, but it is my passion.
We can also cook together. I'm not the best cook in the world, but when I get the chance, I prefer to cook as opposed to eating frozen or fast food.
