我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

This is my story....I quit my job as an Oral Health Therapist (even though I love it) in April of this year in pursuit of a great adventure and personal insight. I sold my car, ended my lease and packed everything I own into a suitcase. This sounds sooo cliche haha, the young professional hanging up the suit and signing up to a nomadic lifestyle. The truth is, I don't really know what I am looking for...but I do know that I won't find it whilst I'm crunching through the daily grind of a 9-5 Monday to Friday occupation. I decided to break free and explore and do those things on my bucket list that I have wanted to do for a long time now. Don't get me wrong, I am no stranger to adventure and spontaneity, however I thought my life needed structure and responsibility, and once attained has never left me more unhappy. Something was missing from my life and I know that I'll find it on this adventure following my gut in the direction that feels right. Like Dorothy on her yellow-brick road journey haha.

I am couch surfing throughout Spain to learn Spanish (bucket list) and instead of staying in a boring hotel suite, I want to meet the locals to completely immerse myself within the Spanish culture...otherwise, what's the bloody point of doing something like this. I will couchsurf other parts of Europe, but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.
If you host me, I can offer my cooking abilities and friendly conversation. I'm extremely respectful of other peoples property and clean as I go. All I'm looking for is personal connection to my host, which will tell me that the experience has been a success.
