Overview
About Me
I’m a really chill people person. Intuitive, respectful, introspective, sympathetic. I’m the noncustodial father of two amazing young men. I’ve been working in the transportation industry since 2012 but it’s all been local transport. I haven’t traveled much out of the Midwest but when I do travel I love hiking, camping, seeking out unique sights off the beaten path. Such as a small jazz studio show I stumbled upon in a downtown Minneapolis basement. Or the old abandoned quarry on the South Dakota-Minnesota border. I can be too trusting sometimes but I just believe there is good in everyone, and I’m determined to find it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Here to try something out of my comfort zone and make some interesting memories. Traveling alone is so much better when you come back with stories not only of where you went but who you met along the way! I joined because I was planning a trip to see the Ocean for the first time! I stayed with some interesting people along the way and created the most memorable trip.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Became the Vice President of my local LGBTQ+ organization in 2018. I’m getting the wheels turning so we can be recognized as a non-profit to further our growth and outreach. I have been a long time ally of the community but last year decided to take an active approach. I volunteered during the big week of events and at the end I went to vote on the running board members. When I was there someone nominated me and a unanimous vote put me in a position that's taught me a lot of leadership skills.

Love learning about other’s life stories, cultures, cuisine, and philosophies and ideals.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I've always been a people person and I will keep you engaged if that's what you are doing on this app. I love driving, I love driving people, while I am with you consider me your personal chauffeur. (You just might have to give me directions)
I tend to travel with a board game or two I can break out when I meet people. I also have a D&D character sheet at the ready in my Google Docs for any spontaneous one offs.
If my hosts don't have time to kick it or aren't the type to spend a lot of quality time with guests I always have my podcasts and headphones.
