Overview
About Me
I grew up the very small and quaint town of Solvang, California and lived there until I left for college in Seattle. I always try to be nice and understanding to everyone and I try to be as generous as I can. I'm a bit shy, but I always open up once i get to know someone (or have a few beers in me ;)) I love experiencing new and foreign cultures through traveling and I always like trying something I have done or ate before (my family was very into food so I love trying exotic foods and will try everything once!). When I visit new places, I try to integrate as much as I can and try to follow all culture norms because I don't want to impose mine on anyone. I really want to find a job that allows me to travel around the world so I can satisfying my craving for experience new cultures, but my dream job would have me living and working in South Korea (spent a semester abroad there and fell in love).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I joined CS because I am about to embark on a year abroad traveling around Southeast Asia and I'm pretty anxious about going alone so I want to meet up with locals or other travelers and hopefully make new friends! In the future when I have my own place, I want to give the same hospitality that I hopefully experience while abroad to those looking for a host! I'm very new to this!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spent a semester abroad in South Korea, but prior to leaving I didn't know any of the language and had almost no knowledge of their culture!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'll try to reciprocate whatever I receive! I'm very patient with teaching and will definitely share anything I can! I'm not great at learning new languages, but I love trying to and am open to learn from the host of whatever country I travel to.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I like to be as giving and generous as I can so I will try to provide anything the host needs and will buy gifts or meals to pay them back for their hospitality!
