Overview
About Me
I am a warm-hearted and relaxed enthusiast for fresh food, thoughtful conversation and also silence.
Always coming back to the present moment, which is usually pretty amazing :)
Love to be outside to walk and explore. Love to be inside to read, cook, or talk to others.
I grew up in really cool cities in the U.S.A.: Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco. I've recently lived in New York City for some years, too, which was an enriching and crazy adventure.
I am underway for three months now, living and working with hosts in Germany and Sweden through Workaway. This has provided me a magical entry into other people's lives. The adventure can continue through CS!!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've learned that personal connections with locals in foreign places (sharing interests or noticing strong differences, helping each other in tasks, or listening well) are as important as seeing historical sites and eating and drinking.
I am practicing, 'Sharing opinions, ideas, and skills makes life deeper and also easier'. Couchsurfing makes it easier to connect with other open people.

Music, Movies, and Books
Let the Great World Spin, by Colum McCann.
books by Henry James
I used to read a lot of spiritual philosophy, on mainstream buddhism and mysticism and the like, but I don't think they actually helped me much -.- Now biographies and memoirs are my interest; Are You Somebody? by Nuala O'Faolain is a favorite.
------
Y Tu Mama También, is a favorite movie.

Musik Musik Musik !!
I studied and love classical music (piano, orchestral, chamber music). A friend has inspired me with DrumnBass. Fleetwood Mac. Nicholas Jaar. TuNe - YaRdS.
and recently, I am fascinated by this Armenian flute music - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5gKhnvPDrbY
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I played an old accordion that a host family in Schwarzwald found in the trash! is that amazing? I think could qualify as 'amazing'
cliff jumping into dark green lakes in Thailand!
Teach, Learn, Share
I've been traveling Europe through workaway for some months, so I have stories of different characters and lots of random d.i.y., self-sufficiency-related knowledge to share. As a kid, my family road-tripped everywhere, so I have more good stories to tell.
I can play music for you if you have a piano.
I have an open ear, I am innately positive, and I truly enjoy sharing about our lives. We can all help each other a lot. I need that; and I believe we all do.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I recently learned to make a fantastic vegan banana bread.
I can bring art supplies for us - painting, drawing, working with clay.
I can be a partner in outings, share cool music and books with you.
I also enjoy cleaning (honestly), so I will gladly make a clean home if you like that :D I can be a partner in outings, share cool music and books with you.
