About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Meet people and explore lands previously unexplored by me.
ABOUT ME
Nerdy engineer, craft beer aficionado, extreme omnivore, neat, organized, mature, well-rounded, sarcastic, passionate, caring, laid back.
PHILOSOPHY
Try everything at least twice! You can't buy happiness but you can always buy beer ;) It's the little things in life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Have couchsurfed a couple times and had fantastic experiences every time. Can host when I'm home, but Bellingham isn't on most peoples' bucket lists ;)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Fantastic hosts in Copenhagen made great recommendations and made my sister and I dinner on the last night before a night of shenanigans that included the disappearance of a case of Tuborg and a horrifying game resembling 6 degrees of separation on Youtube...
Interests
Home brewing, cooking (experimentally), eating in, eating out, farmer's market, photography, foreign cultures, geography, video games, road trips, movies (particularly foreign and independent, but there's a time and place for anything).

Music, Movies, and Books
Foreign movies, especially Korean, Japanese and Danish, Wes Anderson, Documentaries, Monty Python, but pretty much anything depending on mood.
Most music except for country and hip hop, Bellingham has a lot of folky music and instrumental acts, so I'm getting into that.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
10km hike along a decrepit, empty section of the Great Wall of China experiencing winter snow and summer sun & blue skies across 5 hours. The different seasonal extremes in one day paired with the stark scale of the Wall and lack of tourists or touts was unforgettable.
Hitchhiking across the Izu peninsula South of Tokyo through explosively cherry blossom lined roads, to a beautiful cliffside hot spring, to an amazing sunset spot, and back to our origin with some of the most amazing people I've ever met. The natural beauty was only matched by the beauty of the human spirits that picked up two dirty, unkempt, smelly Americans.
Countries I’ve Visited
Australia, Austria, Bahamas, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Poland, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, United States
Countries I’ve Lived In
