I'm somewhat recently back to NYC and love to meet fellow travelers with good stories to exchange.
I'm getting my PhD so stuck here for a few more years before heading back overseas again.
I miss traveling and sharing adventures and crazy stories with eclectic interesting people who are also traveling, and hope this will be a way to vicariously experience this again...

I grew up in the States, lived in Asia, the Middle East, and Europe for most of my adult life...
Outside of work I'm interested in psychology and behavior, why I and others behave the way we do, etc... I used to make comedic videos in a past life but my work now prevents me from doing so...
I love meeting new people, hosting parties, exploring new areas, and generally making the most of my limited free time.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can host, meet up for drinks, generally join in exploring the city. I'm unlikely to host people who don't have references yet (my mom would kill me) but am always up for meeting for drinks/coffee!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosted one person, which was a fun experience, and I've met communities of people who host and they all seemed really cool, would love to meet more people like them. I'm often working so not able to take people around or socialising as much...

Intereses

Psychology, decision making, animal behavior... I've done primatology field schools in Africa as well as paleo-anthropological excavations on the oldest human footprints and use of fire. Outside of work I try to exercise regularly, practice improv comedy, make videos/movies, read, and meet new people
