To immerse myself into the German culture and learn as much as I can about it's rich musical history as well as the language, arts and social customs.

ABOUT ME

I could spend my whole life composing music and never utter another word. With music I can say everything I need. It is for that reason that I can be very quiet on the outside, but on the inside music is ringing out in great harmonious waves. That might sound a little too poetic, but theres no correct way to describe with words what music dose to me on the inside. Life and music, I'll say, cannot be enjoyed apart from each other. This is why I can never find reason enough to abandon this love and I will happily set before you every piece of my heart with the power of music. I am happiest seated at a piano or when I am traveling. As long as I am in motion, whether just my fingers or my whole body, I can stay happy no matter if I'm rich or poor. I love meeting new people and making short friendships such as those that I make while on the road or those who come up to greet me after preforming one of my compositions. My heart is an open door, though I guard it well, I have love for everyone.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm not sure what to put here other than I try to keep the poetry in my descriptions to a minimum so not to freak people out. I guess I could say I'm aiming to provide a good experience for those who chose to host for me. I want this community to continue to grow and enrich the lives of others. I paid the $25 for the identity check too because I think its a great way to support this site and also allow others the assurance that I am who I say I am. Nobody wants a bad experience as a host or a surfer so its my intention to insure that only good feelings result.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've never couch-surfed before, except for that time I was on my way to San Francisco and ended up in Yreka California and got invited to stay the night on the couch at a strangers house. That was completely by chance and I think he was a little drunk because I met him at a bar and he had been drinking for several hours and....well yea, when he invited me over I thanked him profusely. Now I'm hopeful that I'll get a chance to meet people who don't fight and scream till 5 am LOL.

I love to compose music for piano, and violin, (I also specialize in monophonic melodies), Hiking, backpacking, Rock Climbing, Hitch-Hiking, Sociology, Photography, films, video editing, Photojournalism, Dancing, Romantic Music 1820's-1900, Chinese food, Making new friends, partying!

I am fascinated with German culture and spend a lot of my time talking to my self in German trying to learn the language. Its been a great dream of mine to someday visit the country I have read so much about. I plan on celebrating my 27th birthday in Europe, mainly Amsterdam on that day, but my main intent is to hike as many trails in Germany as I can and, of course, visit my favorite Baroque composer, Bach.

Give me time to complete this box. Theres a TON of movies to be mentioned and just trying to think of them all at once makes my head hurt. I'll start by naming the film that first comes to my mind when I think of Germany. Alfred Hitchcock's "The Pleasure Garden", filmed entirely in Munich in the early 1930's. Virginia Valli is my favorite actress in that movie. I could watch it over and over again. To be continued........
