My name is Christy Gaynell, I am an author and a comedian. Fortunately I am still at the stage in my career where I still love what I do, but I am dependent upon the support and assistance of others. This may not sound fortunate but it is because it forces me to experience the love and kindness of strangers and increases my appreciation for people from all walks of life counteracting media driven propaganda.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling is my passion and as much as I enjoy traveling alone, part of the joy is meeting great people along the way. I believe couch surfing will provide unique opportunities to meet like minded people I might not otherwise encounter and simultaneously see the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all types of music but I'm more inclined towards country and hip hop, I think I just like to hear music where people tell their truth, so obviously not all hip hop but the pure authentic artist in ever genre appeal to me. I like movies where one of the lead characters is a genius i.e. Good Will Hunting, Limitless... My favorite book is probably The Alchemist by paulo Coelho or anything by Robert Green.

I am a parent a substitute teacher and I am tefl certified so I have learned a lot from young people and hopefully I can share what they have taught me with older people.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I enjoy good food and good conversation which is one reason I would rather couch surf then stay in a hotel. So I would relish the opportunity to treat my host to one of my culinary specialties.
