My name is Christy
I was born in Amsterdam, the Netherlands and have lived there ever since.
I love to travel, sometimes far away for a longer period of time (if time and money allows that), but I also travel in my own or in the neighboring counties as often as I can.

At the moment I live in a small place in the city center and when I'm not working I like to do things outside. I like to eat, drink, party, go for a bikeride somewhere.

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

I want to try this out. I have people and friends over often at my place, mostly ones I met travelling and I can often stay with them too in their place. Its always so much more fun then staying in a hotel and besides, the money we save can be spent way better (e.g. drinks and food! )

I like all kinds of music, also weird music
When I go to a party at home I mostly end up at a place where house, dub, drum and bass or hip hop is played. Allthough, when youre new somewhere its more likely to hear justin bieber in the bar. I like to exchange music and parties/festivals

Im not a great person to watch movies with since they make me sleep, but I do like to go out to the cinema, also moviewise I have a broad taste. I dont really enjoy hollywood action movies.

I love to read books that have this kind of magic of taking you away, see the place in your head and emphathize with the caracters in it.

I have travelled around Asia alone twice now, allthough Ive never really felt too alone then. It was a big step for me at the time and now I think it maybe the best way to travel. I do smaller trips by myself and with friends/family.

Exploring the jungles of Borneo is something I see as the most amazing thing Ive done so far. Climbing mountains, sleeping in the wild and seeing wildlife from close

I like learning (the basics of) new languages, and helping others learning the languages I know well.

My French is still quite bad, I do want to learn to communicate well in French in the future!
