I am just now able to travel, because my youngest son is graduating from High School. I took 3 months off to volunteer in Guatemala. Now, I am wanting to travel for a bit in Mexico, but am open to visiting new places. I love to take photos and am hoping to eventually get some once in a lifetime photos. Trying to travel as economically as possible and at this point I am even open to camping, if it is in a beautiful location, but don't have camping gear. I am enjoying meeting new people and kindred spirits along the way.

It was suggested to me by a woman I met in San Cristobal de la Casas, Mexico, named Sarah Gabeke (Spelling). Now other travelers I have met at hostels have suggested it also.

I like a lot of different genres of music. Movies I enjoy are romantic comedies and adventure movies. Books I like are stories about people's adventures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I quit my job that was stressing me out to the point that I had high blood pressure to pursue something I felt was a worthy cause, which was to volunteer 3 months in Guatemala for a non profit and then travel for 3 more... solo

So, my blood pressure is right where it needs to be!

As of this month I have hiked a Mayan Ruin near San Cristobal de Las Casas and snorkeled at Isla Mujeres and hope to see other new places and meet more adventurous people.
