ABOUT ME

I like dancing and food and sports. I am from Oakland, which I think is one of the best places in the world to live. There is a lot of hope in Oakland. I am an education designer who learns a lot from and loves his work. It keeps me humble, motivated and passionate.

I am inclined to make a poem or a story out of a good metaphor if one strikes me. Writing is my main form of expression beyond voice and body. I am into appreciating beauty, which never seems to be in short supply.

I like to share it and a drink or a meal or a swing in a hammock with someone else. Yes, I have a romantic view of life. Most of all I like to laugh and have fun learning with others and about the world so I can better contribute to it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My friend Te'Devan stayed on my couch a few times and sung the praises of CS. I signed up.

Since 2008 living or traveling in South America, Africa, and Asia I have had only exceptionally positive experiences as a guest of many wonderfully open-hearted people in their homes, at local CS events or just for a meal.

In general hosting new friends from different places and being a guest of interesting people has been one of the main types of experiences that affirms for me the love and richness of the human spirit.

Intereses

Beyond what I've written above I also love music from all over the world, sharing ideas with people, and getting deep into natural environments, to name a few of my favorite pastimes.

Algo increíble que he hecho

I have been lucky enough to climb to the summit of mountains over 4000m on three continents. The journey is 95% of the fun and beauty, but there is something special about the sense of accomplishment. A mountain peak is such a clearly visible goal, and to see it from afar and then be on top encourages the belief that we are capable of more than we can imagine. So what is your dream? The world is waiting for you to try.
