About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Make more Beijing friends. Sleep more, Worry less.

ABOUT ME

I came back to Asia wanting to try new things, to challenge myself, to learn and to grow as a person. It has been truly life changing so far and in ways I could not have imagined or hoped for. I've jumped into meditation, taught English to Novice Monks, met a new best friend, grasped very basic Lao and realized a passion for my own language.

I have been living in Yinchuan, China for the past 9 months trying to improve as a teacher and person. All the Lao i leanred has been pushed out by Chinese. I've made some amazing friends here in Yinchuan...

I'm now in Beijing studying Chinese full time. It's tough but rewarding too. Looking forward to my second semester and the weather warming up a bit!

PHILOSOPHY

Mean what you say.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Not much right now. I feel bad about that. Ideally, I'd like to meet people in Beijing. I can show people round or just meet other people who live here. I don't have much room to host though.

Music, Movies, and Books

I read most of Raymond E. Feist's "Riftwar" books over the last few months, Kissinger's "On China" was really interesting... Recently I've been listening to Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Harlem Shakes. I saw the new Jackie Chan film recently. Perhaps not his best work.

Countries I’ve Visited

China, Germany, Laos, Malaysia, Thailand
