I am trying to rediscover life, find my place in this world and do things I'm passionate about...

ABOUT ME

I have a love for life, travel, people, adventure and making the world a better place...This love has not been fed the last six years as I worked at a job I wasn't passionate about in order to pay a mortgage for a house I didn't really want. Life was all about paying bill and maintaining the status quo and trying to schedule good times weeks in advance. I felt myself losing what was important to me so I have changed direction and am now going back to school to become a nurse and hopefully work in the humanitarian aid field.

PHILOSOPHY

My life is lived on the basis that we are only here for a short time, and the only real decision we have in life is whether we will leave the world better or worse off for having had me in it. With that philosophy at the back of my mind I meander through this world the same as everyone else does, succeeding and failing but always working towards the goal of making some small positive change wherever I can.

I would love to meet real and interesting people while getting a place to stay here and there. I hope and plan to one day return the favour when I have a place to share with other couch surfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't done couch surfing from this official site but I have a lot of experience relying on the kindness of strangers all over the world.

Interests

Almost anything...I love the outdoors and surf, ski, hike, backpack, kayak, and do pretty much anything. I also love hanging out, good beer and wine, good t.v. series and movies, x-box once in a while and reading!

Music, Movies, and Books

This question is impossible...I don't have set favourites, it all depends on my mood. I will say I am always open to being introduced to music, movies and books I haven't heard of before but may love.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just one...Every day is amazing in it's own way. I am just working on noticing it more.

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't know what I don't know, so I'm not sure what I want to learn...I am open to it though. Some of the best things I've learnt from others were too subtle to put into words.
I can teach anything from patience to back country camping to how to drive a stick-shift if you want, I guess through talking and hanging out we will find what we want to learn from each other.
