ABOUT ME

I am a small town kid who did not truly experience this world until after University at which point I dropped out of medical school, moved to Denver, and spent 5 years rock climbing; this took me around the world; thus came my obsession with travel. Now, I have settled back into my career path to become a physician, but I am still traveling. Currently, my girlfriend, Sara, and I are taking a year off after our third year of medical school. This year we are traveling around the world to experience new things, to meet good people, and to grow personally and to grow together as a couple. A friend we met on our travels in Peru recommended this site in order to meet new people and truly be immersed in the culture each place we visit. Immediately, my interest perked and I am very excited to start couch surfing when possible.

PHILOSOPHY

I do not like planning things; I would rather let instinct and luck guide my direction and my life.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently we are traveling until May 2011 and are looking to meet new people by couchsurfing or simply meeting for coffee. We currently do not have a couch or we would offer it. I plan on offering a couch when we return to Denver, CO in May 2011. Also, when we return to Colorado I would love to meet with travelers to help them truly experience the wonder of the Rocky Mountains and the great city of Denver.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This is a completely new experience for me, but I look forward to many great experiences in the future.

All music though my favorite music is simple, a simple beat, a lone guitar with harmionica, or simply a beautiful voice.
I enjoy all movies though my fear of the dark is intensified by horror flicks.
My favorite authors are those that push the boundaries in regards to beliefs, cultural norms, and ideas. A few of my favorites include Tom Robbins and Kurt V. but I also enjoy the classics and an occasional popular author.

Watching a full eclipse at Delicate Arch in Utah strikes me as one of the most amazing sites and feelings I have experienced, but that is just what comes to mind.
