CURRENT MISSION

I am between travel legs (unintentionally longer then expected) enjoying a healthy work -life -balance in my current hometown, waiting for 2026 to arrive and my next step to exploring a part of the world still unbeknownst to me.

ABOUT ME

Having a relatively conventional backround-school-uni-job- I decided I needed a break and took the chance to travel the world starting in Australia with a work and travel visa. Needless to say, the travel bug totally got me. I've traveled throughout the Americas for 5 months having a total blast along the way, later it was over to Canada with a work and travel visa and exploring parts of the north and south american continent afterwards. I am off to India and hopefully Nepal next year some more Australia and a Camino somewhere in between. But, as you know, plans change and who knows, where I am going to end up on my next adventure... :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been couchsurfing throughout Australia as well as North and South America meeting lots of great people and making friends along the way who are extremely welcome to my couch just like any other traveler who wants to check out the cosmopolitan city of Saarbrücken.

Interests

Sports totally - artistic gymnastics, running, swimming, hiking, skiing+snowboarding, surfing (when there is water nearby) and as of now also Crossfit- superfun activity. Trying my hand in a bit of mindfulness - all that sport hit my body a bit - I started with Yoga and took the chance to deepen my knowledge in a teacher training in India - not a big surprise there, that I have to dive more deeply now into that philosophy when going back.
reading, photography, arts, cooking if I have to (and it usually turns out quite well), great conversations, going out and dancing till the early morning hours, which happen a bit earlier now due to "old age antics"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

there were so many, but surfing with dolphins in El Salvador was definitely one of the latest highlights

Teach, Learn, Share

yes, always...I mean the learning and sharing part. Teaching... doing a handstand maybe and how to make my grandma's famous cookies with a sun salutation thrown in :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am really not such a bad chef, so there is some German baking on offer. I could also put my degree to good use and help you get a nice workout plan - hasn't attracted many takers yet - and there are totally amazing conversations about topics such as ice cream and its nutritious value in your future. And no, none of the above is/are mutually exclusive :)
