Overview
About Me
I am a Machine Learning enthusiast in the morning and an Improv Comic in the evening. I have taught myself to have an open mind and I am currently looking to explore as much of this world as possible before developing opinions. My passions are diverse and I'm smitten by anything artistic. However, I am particularly passionate about Improv Comedy and Improvisational Theater. I am part of three groups here in Munich and I devote almost all of my evenings to practicing this art form.
I am in Munich for an internship for 3 months and will be here till 26 July after which I'll go back to India to complete my Masters in Finance. I am looking to expand my horizons and meet people of different cultures.
I am not a party person but would rather like to have long, deep conversations (I can get philosophical sometimes :D). I don't really drink or smoke but don't mind you doing them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As I mentioned in the introduction, I am interested to meet people of new cultures. The members in the improv groups that I am part of made me realize that I love meeting people from different background and it is really enriching to hear their perspective on regular things. Everyone has a story to tell, everyone has something in them that I can learn from.
I am here because I really believe in the principles of the movement. I am convinced that traveling is a life changing experience and everyone irrespective of their financial status should get an opportunity to visit another country and/or culture. CS is a step towards facilitating that and I am happy to be a part of it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to a Salzburg, a completely new city for me, without a plan nor mobile internet access. I just got myself a Bayern Ticket which gave me the pass to hop on a train and return to Munich at anytime and that's it. I ended up talking to locals about the place; getting to know about places to see from their perspective.
If you've ever been to Salzburg you may know that there is the touristy old city which is super crowded, however my aimless journey led me to the residential area of Salzburg which was calm, pleasant as compared to the city center.
This was the first time I traveled without a plan and it turned out way better than I expected. I plan to do it more often.
