About Me
Hi, I’m Cibelly! I’m a Brazilian dentist who loves trading the dental clinic for a backpack whenever I can. Traveling for me isn’t just about seeing new places… it’s about the people I meet, the stories I hear, and the little moments that make a trip unforgettable.
I usually travel solo, which has taught me to be independent, flexible, and to find joy in both big adventures and quiet moments. I’ve visited Argentina, Colombia, and Spain so far, and every trip has left me with amazing memories (and probably way too many photos).
I’m curious by nature and love learning languages… at the moment I’m working on my English, Spanish, and French. I enjoy exploring cities on foot, trying local food, discovering hidden spots, and talking about culture, music, and everyday life. I also have a soft spot for nature, sunsets, and those unplanned experiences that end up being the highlight of the trip.
Friends would describe me as calm, friendly, respectful, and organized (yes, I’m that traveler who plans things but still says yes to spontaneous ideas). I believe the best part of traveling is sharing it with good people, so if we meet, expect a big smile and genuine curiosity.
And speaking of Brazil… it’s a country full of colors, rhythms, and flavors. From the beaches of Rio de Janeiro to the crystal-clear waters of Arraial do Cabo, from the historic charm of Ceará to the vibrant cities like São Paulo and Fortaleza, I’m proud of the diversity we have. I’d be happy to share more about Brazilian traditions, music, and food… and maybe even teach you a few words in Portuguese that you won’t find in any textbook.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing because I want to try a different way of traveling… one that brings me closer to local people and their cultures. I love meeting new friends around the world and sharing stories, laughs, and experiences. For me, travel is all about connection!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love Brazilian music from samba to bossa nova, forró, and everything in between. Reggaeton is my daily vibe; I listen to it almost every day. When it comes to movies, I’m pretty eclectic but I avoid horror films. As for books, I enjoy a wide variety of genres and themes.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the coolest things I’ve done is working as a pediatric dentist. Taking care of kids’ smiles has been amazing, but honestly, I think I learned even more from them! Their curiosity, energy, and simple joy remind me to keep a playful and kind heart wherever I go.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have a real passion for languages! I’m currently learning Spanish, English, and French. My English and Spanish skills are at a B2 level, and I’m just starting with French — but I’m already falling in love with it. I also enjoy sharing tips about travel, Brazilian culture, and, of course, Brazilian memes haha
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share a lot about Brazilian culture, including the amazing places I’ve visited in my country and travel tips for Brazil. I’m also passionate about Brazilian cuisine, especially sweets like brigadeiro, which I love to talk about! Besides that, I adore Brazilian music and would be happy to share playlists, favorite singers, and stories behind the songs. Sharing stories, music, and traditions is one of my favorite ways to connect with hosts and make our time together special.
