Hi there! I’m Cierra. My current home base is Portland, Oregon where my partner and I live and practice meditation and simple living.

I grew up in Fremont, California with the typical Standard American upbringing, but at some point I realized what crazy madness it is to live a “normal life” by society’s standards. Now I try to NOT do that.

I’m intentionally poor to protest the war tax machine. I primarily bicycle where I need to go, or ride the train or bus to reduce my carbon footprint. I glean for food or use government money. I eat vegan. I find clothes to wear on the street (Portland free boxes rule!) And generally try to avoid purchasing anything new as much as possible.

My partner and I offer a weekly gatherings for meditation and qi gong at the local park. And I help out with the local Food Not Bombs chapter by hauling food donations on my bicycle cart.

We’d really like to expand our offerings and way of life to build an intentional community of like minded, simple living, dharma practitioners.

On a more personal note, I’m really into my garden, herbalism, and plants and the natural world in general. I just started making herbal medicine and I’m having a lot of fun with my little potions! I love love love children and hope to one day be a mother or be able to serve women and children in a holistic way.
