Overview
About Me
Nature guide, writer, and occasional belly dancer. I love birds, forests, doodling, music, and little wonders. I smuggled a pigeon named Martha across 3 countries once. Watching chickens run and scratch in the dirt makes me happy cry but somehow I still eat meat. Laughter and meals with people that aren't my friends yet make the world a little warmer.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
On Couchsurfing to meet fellow curious humans who are sure they’re not sure yet. My surfer husband and I are traveling through Europe to visit friends and explore the in-between places that have caught our eye. Spontaneity, perspective, recipes, nature time, silly impressions, and book recs are all welcome.
Interests
Expression, community and nature are the big umbrellas.
Love learning about local ecologies (especially birds and plants). Inspired by people who stop for little moments and wonder a bit on things. Funky folks keep society honest (& refreshing).
I occasionally act, love collaborating creatively, and used to play in a band with a friend. A little creativity, laughter, and absurdity keeps spicy fuel in the tank.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It's less about what I did and more about who I did it with. I went skydiving in California over the Channel Islands with a man from old Yugoslavia. During the flight before the dive, he told me about fleeing his country after military service/ some sort of regime fall -- only to sneak back into the country for his daughter's wedding. Lowkey felt like a James Bond movie and was so glad that this was the person strapped to my back.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love sharing a big cook-up/meal, am decent at changing engine oil on older cars, and can drive or teach manual/stick. I'm always happy to share in some plant or bird ID, foraging tips, accompany folks on forest walks or share sweet local hiking spots. For creative things, I know some good singing exercises and dance practices, or be an accountability buddy on quiet creative things.
I’m always up for learning new phrases in local languages, discovering hidden nature spots, birdwatching tips, or local recipes. I love picking up small skills from hosts too—anything from creative hobbies to practical know-how, or just seeing the world through someone else’s eyes.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Spontaneous dance sessions, home-cooked meals, a walking partner, good conversation over cinema, and a few silly impressions. I love bringing curiosity, laughter, and a little creativity wherever we're at, and I’m always happy to swap stories, recipes, or little findings about the natural world.
