ABOUT ME

I'm almost 65 - have lost 160 pounds and still going. I've become an endurance athlete and recently completed an adventure pedaling my bicycle from Charlotte NC to Clearwater FL to attend my 45th high school reunion. I cycled 685 miles in 11 days - woohoo!

Cycling, swimming, hiking - enjoying life. Hanging with friends. Helping others. - I'm already on the road so not a lot of time to add everything right now.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

After swimming across the Suez Canal (at Ismailaya) we were hiking around the sand dunes, and stumbled upon the remains of two soldiers. It was obvious they had been killed in one of the Sinai wars, buried over by a sandstorm, and uncovered the same way. We took their rifles and stood them up as markers, covered them again, said a prayer, and then carefully counted our steps back to the Canal. We reported our findings to the Policemen's Club - this was in 1983 and later we discovered they were from the '67 wars.
