About Me

Hi there! I never know what to write in the "About me" section. What a pressure! hahaha!
My name is Cintia, an Argentinian girl of 31 years old who once upon a time had the dream to see what there was out of her "comfort zone". I think travelling is one of the best ways to learn, not just about other cultures but myself.
I studied graphic design at Uni and lyrical singing at the conservatorium. No worries, I won´t be yelling in your house unless you ask me to do it ;)
Apart from this "artistic" background, I love languages, so after some time, I completely switched my career and now I work as a language teacher.
I´m quite curious and sociable so it doesn´t really matter what I´ve studied, probably I will be keen on talking about random topics.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's pretty simple: I love travelling. For me is not just about knowing a new place, but a new culture, a new dish, a new way to say "hello, thanks and please". I find in couchsurfing the perfect opportunity to meet people all around the world.

Interests

Music, art, dance (I like dancing but I´m pretty bad, I admire and like to watch people who can actually coordinate their bodies), theater, History, movies, a nice chat, coffee, nature, nutrition, hiking, lay in the sun, yoga, soccer, writing, cooking, horses, performing, learning languages...

Music, Movies, and Books

Evererything but Arnold Schwarzenegger movies where he kills an entire army with a tea spoon.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don´t know if it is what people would call awesome, but I had a great time in Laos working for a Vietnamese family. They taught me a lot about their way of living and, as I didn´t know Vietnamese or Lao and they hardly spoke English, almost all our communication was with body language!

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe I learn all the time. Everyday is a new experience. There is something my grandfather used to say: " If you keep your eyes open life can teach you incredible things". I would say observation and self-awareness are two important things for me.

Teach: people say I'm a good cook. I'm able to maintain a looooong conversation about music, art, nutrition and grammar (yes, grammar). I'm a bit of a nerd, so I can probably mention
meaningless data that nobody cares about :)

Learn: whatever you want to teach me. Warning: I'm not responsible about the integrity of your feet if you want me to dance.

Share: experiences? I can help you with whatever you need (or at least I expect to be helpful somehow). Unfortunately meanwhile travelling all my belongings are reduced to a backpack/ suitcase. Despite this fact, I will try to make our time together enjoyable.
