About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Taking a break from university to work

ABOUT ME

Taking a break from University on a working holiday visa in Australia.

I travelled in Europe for 2 years before returning home and entering the world of University. While in Europe I lived in Ireland and London and in the summers travelled extensively through Eastern Europe. I've also cycled from BC down to Mexico, and then backpacked through Mexico a couple of summers ago.

When I'm traveling I prefer to have no budget and no time limits, the experiences I end up with are far better this way.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't be a douchebag.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As I am traveling at the moment I'm unable to host anyone. Previously when living in Ireland I had a few people stay with me that I had run into on the street or at parties, though that was more random than through CS.

I've only surfed once with a couple in Ghent, Belgium and it was an amazing experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

I've read all of Hemingway's short stories and one or two novels. I like them for the simplicity. I only seem to read while traveling which is a shame because there is a huge backlog of things I need to read.

I love a lot of music and my tastes change pretty regularly, I predominately like electronic music (minimal techno and such) however good music is good music and I can't deny it. Also, I have a big soft spot for cheesey pop. I'm definitely not up to date in the world of Indie but I appreciate it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I jumped off a waterfall (Štrbački Buk) during a rafting trip in Bihac Bosnia.

I like to do fire-shows at festivals I go to, or at hostels I stay at, or anywhere really.

Countries I’ve Visited

Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, France, Mexico, Montenegro, Netherlands, Serbia, Sweden, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada, Ireland, Romania, United Kingdom
