PHILOSOPHY

I love meeting new people, from all walks of life, learning about their background and culture, comparing and contrasting my own. I like debating different issues, even if the discussion gets a little heated, because you gain different perspectives on matters you might never have considered before. I want to learn something I didn't know yesterday everyday.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I spent many years, informally, couch surfing. Now I've a nice place of my own, with a massive couch, so tryin' to restore Karmic balance :)

I've had a few great people come stay with me, I've even made a life-long (i hope) friend who I met by hosting her and her sister a few years ago.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I've many years experience working with autistic children. After two years working with one particular child with autism, who was mostly non-verbal (rarely spoke), my name became one of the few words she used, this may seem small, but had a massive impact on me and the direction I've taken since towards Social Care.

Something that left me awestruck... happened while travelling from Prague(C.R) to Slovenia. My friends and I were inter-railing through Europe(travelling by train), heading for the European Juggling festival, held in Slovenia that year. The over-night train stopped for ten minutes at a tiny, rural Austrian station. Three of us jumped at the chance for a quick smoke. Outside, a huge golden sun was starting to rise over a misty field of sunflowers, the sky was a gorgeous warm pink. Then we saw a deer jumping through the sunflowers. Better than fuckin' Disney, I swear
