CURRENT MISSION

My mission is an ever changing mission, a mission that I don't expect will ever be really defined BUT there are some smaller missions of mine that I'm quite sure of: 1) to meet new people and to exchange knowledge with them AND 2)to explore new places

ABOUT ME

On the whole I would describe myself as fairly independent, but I really like sharing living spaces with people and experiencing new lifestyles.
I LOVE TO COOK... and eat.
I like to be able to work hard at something that I really believe in, and organic, local food is something I really believe in.
I'm going to be spending the next 10 months working on my family's farm in BC, with a few side trips and hopefully a music festival.
I spent five months in Colombia this past year, an amazing experience that both made me want to come home to spend time with family, and continue to explore the world.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My main reason for participating would be the simple fact that Couch Surfing is one of the best ways (as I see it) to foster trust between strangers. I like to think that on the whole people are good and are willing to help each other, and I think this is a positive, fun way to meet people, explore the world and LEARN.

I'm living in a communal situation in a rural place, so I'm not really in a position to host. There are opportunities to WOOF on the farm for people looking for more of a long-term stay, and there is an application process that goes along with that.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had quite a few good experiences on couchsurfing, hosting, but more often surfing... Berlin, Memphis and Halifax have all shown me friendly couches and nice new people.

兴趣

I like listening to music, reading, and doing anything that is going on outside. I like soccer, hiking, canoeing, swimming and the colder months take me skating and cross country skiing.
I bike to get anywhere and everywhere. I read LOTS when I have the time, and usually too much when I don't have the time.
I love the ocean and being outside of cities, but the things that cities offer are priceless as well.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

The single most amazing thing I've seen is the phosphorescents in the Pacific ocean. Going swimming at night you can see them sometimes if the water is warm enough and the tide is in... I'm sure they're elsewhere as well, but that is the most amazing thing I have ever seen. Watching your body light up under water... pure amazing. Also the skies above where I live in BC. The skies and mountains together make these amazing images, I am always surprised even though I look at the same hills everyday when I go walking.
