ABOUT ME

I often carry a notebook in my back pocket. When I see something unique, I write it down. When I hear something intriguing, I write it down. I try to take as much time as possible to observe. To listen. But there's rarely enough time to get it all. So some day I'll go back.

This is how I choose to learn about myself and the world around me. Former Rocky Mountain News columnist Greg Lopez once wrote, "I don't write stories to show how people are different. I try to show how people are the same." We tell stories because that's what we are. We are experiences. We are histories. And I like to take note of that.

My first CS experience dates back to 2009, when a couple of rad dudes in Nashville took us in and enlightened us, setting the bar very high.

Music ... ranges from Tom Waits to The Replacements to Doomtree and St. Vincent to Japandroids to Sharon Jones. And I'm all about the ins and outs of Denver's music scene.

Film ... ranges from City of God to Raging Bull to Some Like It Hot to Life Aquatic.
