CURRENT MISSION
To write, read, and explore.
ABOUT ME
I just won a scholarship from the Kościuszko Foundation to learn Polish in Kraków for the 2010-2011 school year. I don't smoke, but I do love learning languages
(especially Polish) and am on my way to becoming CELTA certified to teach English as a foreign language. I am very excited about this opportunity to learn the language my grandmother used to speak.
From September-December 2009, I studied abroad in Kraków, then I worked on an organic farm in Germany over Christmas, then headed to Lębork to teach English. February-May 2010 was spent studying abroad in Szeged, Hungary, where I made many fond memories. :)
PHILOSOPHY
People are just people like you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have surfed once but have not yet had the opportunity to host someone. I am actually looking for an apartment to rent near the city center in Kraków, Poland, from October 2010 through June 2011. If you have a room available or know of one, please let me know!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
One night on a lovely bed in Memmingen, Germany, which is not as small and boring as everyone there seems to think it is.
Interests
Traveling. Writing. Reading. Drinking tequila and White Russians. And, when deliciously drunk, dancing.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Working on an organic farm in Bavaria. I'm sure there's other stuff. I spent my senior year of college in Poland and Hungary and have traveled to Greece, Italy, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Germany, the UK, Slovakia, Serbia, and Austria. Of course, the smuggling of cheap cigarettes across the Serbo-Hungarian border was definitely among the top cites to have been witnessed.
Teach, Learn, Share
My major is in political science, though I have a major interest in health and wellness and organic farming. Ask me anything from training for a bike race to the importance of organic produce and its legal status in the US and I'd love to talk about it. Admittedly, I will probably not talk politics with you unless pressed. It's a divisive topic and being opinionated among guests is a recipe for disaster and general awkwardness.
