Hey everyone, my name is Clair and I am currently a grad student working on my MBA. I don't particularly like writing about myself in these things, but I'll give it a go. I've spent a little bit of time traveling overseas a few years ago, and haven't had the chance to travel much since. I am a relaxed person, and it doesn't take much to be happy.
A lot of people assume that because I have dreads I smoke weed, but I don't. It's totally cool if you do, but if that is a problem for anyone who might accept me as a guest, now you know!

I heard about couch surfing awhile back, and it took me a long time to join. I think it is a fantastic way of traveling cheaply and allowing others to do the same, as well as an awesome way to share life with others.

I play guitar, ukulele, as well as hand-drums like the djembe and the cajon (don't worry they won't be coming with me). I really enjoy having a beer here and there, and just being able to have a chill night with friends or family. In the summers I love being able to relax by a lake or ocean in the evenings. I also really enjoying walking, particularly when there is beautiful scenery, be it in the city or in nature.

Maybe everyone says this about music, but I enjoy a little bit of everything. Last summer I attended the Eaux Claires music festival in Wisconsin with bands like The National, Sufjan Stevens, Sylvan Esso, Bon Iver, Spoon, and many more. It was pretty amazing, and I have to say that some of those bands are among my favourites.

I spent the majority of a semester abroad working with a non-profit, helping women and children who wanted out of a life of prostitution, pimping, and sex slavery.
