When you arrive in a city you don't know the language, you don't know the places, the street, you don't know the culture, you don't know anyone who could help you to live the best possible experience : you need a local.

You need a local who will be proud to show you how beautiful is his city, who will love to share with you his favourite places, his favourite pubs and restaurants, who will love to teach you words and sentences in his language because it's funny. A local will be the best to teach you what you have to watch for, what you can do or what you should pay attention to.

You need a local because they are so much better than travel agency, they are so much better than any book you could have read before about the city, and still better than a guide telling the same story all day long. Because each local had his own story, and they all have a different way to show you their city.

Because locals don't want your money.
They expect you to listen their story, to ask questions about their life, about their city, about their country, and to share back your culture.

With guests or hosts, I would love to teach them some words in french. I'm not sure I would be a good teacher, but I'm sure it could be very fun !

I would love to learn new things to cook ! Of course I like french food and I would be proud to teach you all what I know, but I love international food and I would love to learn how to do my sushis by myself, or make my own empanadas !

Then we could share a really nice "food moment" with music, speak the language we understand, teach each others new stuff, and watch a great movie :)
