Overview
About Me
I am a Tasmanian engineer, who enjoys cooking, laughing and good puns. I prefer small towns, the countryside and wilderness to big cities. I've been told I have a thick Australian accent, that I laugh in my sleep and I eat too much vegemite on my toast.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting people, so when I traveled with my older sister for a little while in South America and she said I should check CS out. Also I enjoy the interesting and varied experiences that come with low cost travel, and sharing unique experiences along the way.
Interests
I like trees, hiking, camping, kayaking, art and making things. I've been involved in various aspects theatre, though I question my dancing and acting abilities so I stick to backstage now. I enjoy playing Board games, cooking, eating and participating in animated discussions/conversations.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy Sci-fi but I don't get around to reading or watching as much as I'd like.
Some of my favourite films are Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Amelie, Shrek, The Timetraveller's Wife and various documentaries of which I don't remember the names.
Some of my favourite books are The Book Thief (though the film was disappointing!), the Guardians of Time trilogy, Along for the Ride by Sarah Dessen, and The messenger.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Eaten 12 weet-bix in one go.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn to knits socks.
I can teach people how to make ANZAC biscuits (traditional Australian cookies) and how to make journals/notebooks/diaries out of scrap materials. And I can add pockets to clothes that don't have them, (one of the many things that puts me off wearing skirts)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love to cook, so perhaps I can make you dinner? Or breakfast!
