Hello! I'm Claire, nice to meet you! I grew up in China and have been living in Houston, Texas for the past 15 years, although 4 of those years were spent in Ithaca, NY studying Civil Engineering. Now I work as a traffic engineer. Excited to talk to all you cool people from around the world :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love travelling and hope to visit as many places around the world as possible, especially exploring the city like a local. My ideal trip would be to spend a week hiking and visiting museums and another week living in the city as if I've been there my entire life. Love to discover hidden jewels only known by locals!

I'm in the middle of apartment hunting right now, hopefully I can host people in Houston in the near future.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I really enjoyed visiting Tanzania. It was a very different experience than I'm used to. My travel buddy (ex-husband actually) had the bends as we went scuba diving, but we got him in the decompression chamber just in time. He's all recovered and well now. I think that's pretty amazing considering his legs were paralyzed for awhile.

Fun fact - there was only 1 commercial decompression chamber in the whole continent of Africa, and it was located on Zanzibar, the small island where we went diving. We were very fortunate in that aspect.
