i left australia a few years ago after finishing university, i spent most of that time in the middle east for reasons i cant quite remember, i lived in egypt and morocco, ah yes i have a feeling those reasons had something to do with a moroccan circus i saw when i was young, those acrobats made a big impression on me. if i could go to the circus with anyone it would be Bono. i excel in mediocrity in many things but always dream of grandeur. and Bono.

i bring joy to the lives of couchsurfing hosts worldwide. couchsurfing is a beautiful idea.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

im sort of new, but the first couch surfing experience i had in bolivia kept me in the country for 2 months longer than expected. somehow all my hosts have turned out to be brazilian one way or another. when i grow up and have a couch i will host and be brazilian too.

Interests

i like pogosticks, kiteflying and dictators with firm jawlines and flamboyant facial hair. i like goats.

music - i love jazz, louis, nina, frank you name it, i like bob dylan, leonard cohen, neil young, but the greatest is bright eyes because no matter how miserable you feel beforehand you can always guarantee you will feel worse afterwards.
books - my favourites are kundera, haruki murakami
movies - the question im always asked because i studied film so the top 7 in no particular order would be:

withnail and i
a sadly little-known norwegian film called Get ready to be boyzvoiced
did i say 7? i cant remember the others but clearly great films nonetheless

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

i got beaten by turkish police in the may day riots. it got done to me though, i dont remember doing much at all except trying to buy that funny bread they sell on sticks in the wrong place at the wrong time.
i also saw a highway of diamonds with nobody on it.
