About Me

CURRENT MISSION

learn, live fully, give back.

ABOUT ME

I am a law student. I love music (I used to sing in choir), art, food, dancing, eating, etc.

I am passionate about meeting other people from other cultures and volunteering. I have volunteered in New York, Boston, New Orleans, Appalachia, Guatemala, Honduras, Hartford and Willimantic to name a few places. I want to go into public interest law practice when I graduate law school and I love working with and talking to people from all backgrounds.

PHILOSOPHY

Give all of yourself (knowledge, work ethic, resources, etc) to support the greater good in the best way you can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I will host and I am looking for a host because I would love to learn about people and places. I am social and that is why I love this program so you can connect with people while sharing places and cultures.

I don't have much CS experience sadly, I used CS in 2013 on a trip through europe and loved it but since starting law school I haven't had much availability to CS (school is crazy busy). But I love the CS culture and hope to get back into it (especially when I move to California next year).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed in Berlin and loved it! I'm also a frequent air bnb-er (in California, Puerto Rico, etc.)

Interests

music, art, food (foodie), beer (IPAs), wine(anything red, but especially local) tea, culture, bartending, singing, reading (currently reading some Steinbeck), debating the law or economic development, I love volunteering and meeting people from different backgrounds, I am a leader by nature, I can't wait to travel!

I've recently gotten into local, organic, vegan food after spending time representing migrant farmworkers and realizing the impact of the way we eat on the people who grow our food. I cook a mean vegan stirfry and can tell you how to spot an evil conglomerate wine/beer company!

Oh I'm a big runner. I ran every single day this summer so far and I do half marathons and 5Ks. I love running in pretty places and new places to get to know them!

Music, Movies, and Books

indie music like rilo kiley and the arcade fire, all types of books such as Dave Eggers, David Sedaris, Hemmingway, I also love reading plays. I LOVE movies and documentaries, just watched the Nina Simone documentary (highly recommend!)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed the tallest volcano in central America, touched a glacier in Alaska, biked across the brooklyn bridge, went to three countries in three days, drove 21 hours to Indiana, read two books a week for a whole summer, met Anita Hill and Jill Abramson and Sonia Sotomayor <3

OH and I roadtripped for 12 days across the US with my best friends, it was the most incredible experience and I would do it all over again. So much hiking, laughing, art, music, and weird wonderful experiences.
