About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm currently living in Daegu, South Korea where I teach EFL to middle school students. After finishing my job in a couple of months I'm going to be doing some travelling around south-east Asia and next year hopefully the US and New Zealand. Couchsurfing was recommended by some friends and I'm hoping it will help me meet some amazing people along the way as well as offer an interesting new way to travel.
A little about me: I recently got into running and am working towards doing my first 10K in the next few months. I'm more chilled out these days, preferring to have quiet drinks with friends and play board games/cards though I still like going out to bars. I recently shed my city hat and now I want to explore more of what nature has to offer which has been my inspiration for getting fit recently.
My friends would describe me as a silly, thoughtful, non-conformist. I like to participate in deep philosophical conversations about life, the universe, and everything just as much as I like to talk about silly things like cheese and hats.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Music, Movies, and Books
I really do like all sorts of music. I started listening to nu-metal when I was about 15 and I still listen to some of those bands. My friends and I moved onto dance music and electronica when we were about 17 and then regularly went out dancing all night in London. I still love both of these genres and the great memories that listening to them brings back.
Music (not limited to): Queen, Trentemoller, Sigur Ros, Deftones, Pulp, NIN, The Naked and Famous, Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Korn, RATM, Take That, Chase and Status, Boards of Canada, Joy Division.
Films: I've seen a lot of films but I'm not a massive film fan. A lot of the time they don't really stick in my mind and I can watch them over and over again. I do enjoy watching films though and like going to the cinema. I recently went to see The Hunger Games at the IMAX which I thought was absolutely absurb. The film was OK but the seats moving and them spraying in smells was ridiculous. I would rather not do that again! I don't like to watch psychologically disturbing horror films because I currently live alone and am easily spooked.
Films: anything by Pixar, Taken... there are others but they're not coming to mind just now!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to northern Sweden to see the northern lights. We went up a mountain on an exposed chair lift at night in the middle of nowhere and the lights put on a great show. The isolation and the vastness of the snowy wilderness was really special.
