Summer job in Germany and wanting to explore the culture, lifestyle, and history!!

ABOUT ME

My name is Clara and I will be working in Germany over summer. My favorite cousin, Jill, is joining me in Germany after my employment is over. We want to explore as many places as we can while we are in Germany. Besides that, I seriously love traveling and learning new things! I have worked with kids for 5 years and I love it. I am a Sociology major and hoping to become a social worker. I love life, meeting new people, and creating all sorts of connections.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that positivity and good humor make life more enjoyable. I believe in surrounding myself with others who are motivated, cheerful and full of life. i store my faith in my family because they are the ones I love and care about the most. Give help and be helped! And smiling is a great way to spread cheerfulness.

I have never done couchsurfing before but I have heard great things.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't had experience yet but my sister traveled through France, Belgium, Germany, and Denmark through couch surfing and she LOVED it. She still keeps in contact with some of her hosts and now she hosts as well!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been fortunate enough to have parents that encouraged traveling and broadening our world perspective. I have been traveling internationally (UK, Spain, Mexico, Costa Rica, Canada, etc.) since I was 7 and I can't get enough of it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I hope while I am traveling through Germany to further my language and conversational skills in German. I want to learn and live in the culture and take in as much information and scenery as I possibly can. Hopefully in return, I can help those who want to practice their English (if they want to) I can also give a good idea of what living in America is like because I have lived in a big city (extremely close to Los Angeles) and a very small, secluded town.
