ABOUT ME

Hi there!!

I'm Clara, currently in a state of whirlwind world exploration. Studied Fashion Merchandising in the ever fashionable New York City, giving it a go for a good couple of years only to later realize I prefer my Birkies and chanting OM. Pursuing my passion for the fine art of meeting and helping people, cooking, healthy living and being a devout yogini since 2001, the decision to teach yoga, healthy cookings workshops was an easy one.

Having been bitten by the travel bug back in 2012, I've been living and traveling abroad looking for the next stepping stone in this crazy journey we call life, while writing about it along the way. I'm currently in The Netherlands, 20 min from Amsterdam. But again, this is "in transit" :)

Spent the past summer working at a surf camp in the north of Portugal having a blast and meeting amazing people along the way. Took off in October to do a "bit" more world exploration before it's time to settle somewhere again for a summer season.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to explore and travel, making new friends and sharing stories along the way. Plus, most of the time it's hard to get the real "inside scoop" about where you are staying from someone working at the reception. So couch surfing covers all of this, you get to meet great people that know the area and you get to exchange, teach or learn something new.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

SURFER, since i'm technically "homeless" while traveling at the moment....sorry can't host!!! But once i'm settled somewhere hot and tropical you are most welcome :)

Favorite Book: The Great Gatsby (first reading, 20 years ago), it just sucks your imagination into a whole other world.

Favorite Music: Always changing....always discovering....at the moment big on Ben Howard, Passenger and James Bay....on iPod as i'm typing, Bach.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm a "glass is half" full kind of girl so even the smallest of things can be amazing but standing on the great wall of China, that was pretty amazing!!!

I'm a certified Yoga teacher and Personal Fitness Chef so I'd be more than happy to help you with some yoga, whether you're a complete beginner or are looking for some development in your existing practice.
