About Me

I'm currently a student at the University of Exeter studying English and German, so I have a great love for languages and trying out new ones. My favourite hobby is creative writing and one day I'd like to publish my work, but I also enjoy many outdoor activities such as surfing, rock climbing, camping and hiking (preferably up mountains!) I can play the piano, paint and also do a bit of singing. I absolutely love trying out new things, whether it's new food or a different sport, and although I sometimes appreciate my quiet time, I'm always up for a good chat!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel, experience new cultures and meet new people, so I thought I'd give couchsurfing a try! I really enjoy hearing other people's stories and learning about their way of life - it's an added bonus if I can do this in their language!

Music, Movies, and Books

Any type of music, from rock to dubstep to folk, but I have a particular love for Shinedown and Ed Sheeran.

I love the Harry Potter series, Percy Jackson series, 'Memoirs of a Geisha', 'Wuthering Heights' and many many more.

I like all genres of film/TV from comedy to horror, but I particularly like 'Game of Thrones' and Disney films.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once abseiled down the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmorth (it's 110 metres high!) Although I've done rock-climbing and abseiling before, this absolutely terrified me and it was so high that it took me 15 minutes to walk down. I was raising money for Parkinsons UK though, so it was absolutely worth it!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm TEFL qualified, so if you want any help with your English or need me to proof-read something, I'd be happy to! I'm also a B2-level German speaker (a.k.a not quite fluent!) so I could teach you some German. If you've written a novel or some poetry, we could exchange our work and help each other improve.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a good cook and would be happy to help out! If you want to learn about my life or anything to do with English culture, I can share some stories and also help you practise your English. I'm also a B2 German speaker and A1 Japanese speaker, so I could practise those languages with you as well!
