Heya!

I'm Clare and have been living in Australia my whole life but am on my overseas adventure which started in April.

I love being outside and cycling around. I believe the best way to get to know an area/city it to cycle around it which is why i'm hoping to do most of my travels with my bike :)

If i'm not at work, you can find me feeding ducks in the park or at my favourite cafes drinking tasty coffee with book in hand. If i'm going out it will either be beers at the pub or a few drinks at a gin/whisky bar then somewhere to dance the rest of the night.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm not interested in doing very touristy things and would much rather hangout like a local. The best experiances I've had so far have been with a local and through staying with someone I hope to explore the bars/cafes/hidden places that you'd only really know about if you lived there.

Interests

It sounds odd but i'm interested in pretty much everything and am always keen to learn more (i'd be handy at a pub quiz!). Although I haven't furthered my 'education' since finishing school, i've taken it upon myself to do short courses and learn from my friends professions. If i'd had to narrow it down, nature, science and history! Musical movements/subcultures also intrigue me!

Apart form the intellectual side of things, i love cycling, cooking, being outdoors and yoga. I've dabbled in bouldering and would love to do it properly.

Does eating count? If so, that too. huge part of my life. Where majority of my cash goes.

Music, Movies, and Books

Apart from country and acoustic, I'm a fan of all genres of music! I love having a boogie to soul/funk but am right at home at a metal/punk show.

In regards to books, biographies and nonfiction however graphic novels are always my favourite.

Movies; all hail bruce willis, Jackie Chan and horrible 80's/90's horror movies! Although i am a sucker for cute old silver screen movies.
