Hi, my name is Clare me and my boyfriend Paul decided to both quit our jobs to undertake an 18 month around the world adventure including the 12 month working holiday visa in Australia (before we were too old to do it. The age limit is 31!). We are now travelling in the US, Canada and doing a G Adventures tour in South America before returning home to England.

A bit of information about us
I worked for an Energy Company called British Gas for 13 years working in Learning and Development as a Trainer throughout the UK and also spent 12 months living and working in our offshore call centre in Mumbai,India.

Paul worked on a championship golf course for 11 years in the UK after becoming fully qualified he also fancied taking a career break to go and experience what working and living in a different country was like.

We are both very laid back people, easy going and sociable. Have travelled to several different countries during the last 3 years together.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Due to our love of travel we are looking at meeting cool people, seeing cool places and finding out some local knowledge from our Hosts which would really help to make our travel experience even more awesome!

I like most music and John Grisham is one of my favourite authors, as well as James Patterson. I'll read anything though whilst laid on the beach!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2011 I climbed Mount Kilimanjaro to help raise money for a children's charity called 'Make a Wish'.

We have been hosted by so many different people we have met whilst travelling in different countries these include people living in Australia, Hawaii, Germany and we thought couch surfing would also be a good way to meet new people and share our travel experiences.
