About Me

I’m a K-girl who loves living life to the fullest! I’m into running and ocean dips, and while I really love my job, I make sure to switch off completely during holidays so I can truly enjoy what life has to offer and explore perspectives I can’t get on workdays.
A little about my travels: I’ve been to 🇯🇵 🇹🇭 🇦🇺 🇻🇳 🇻🇺 🇸🇬 🇺🇸 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇩🇪 🇨🇿 🇫🇷 🇦🇹, and this month I’m heading to 🇮🇹 🇻🇦 🇲🇨 🇵🇹. I’m super excited to dive into their food, language, and culture. Hopefully our paths cross and we’ll create some lifelong memories together!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’ve stayed in hotels, Airbnbs, hostels, and at friends’ places during my trips. The one thing I haven’t given a crack yet is Couchsurfing, but I’m really starting to like the idea of someone opening their home and sharing a chat about life where I can bring my tourist spirit and, in a way, let the host feel like they’re travelling too. I’m excited to see where it takes me, who I’ll meet, and how I might find myself along the way.

Interests

I love travelling, and when I’m exploring, I’m mostly interested in discovering different ways of living that remind me how simple life can be. 💫

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Australian country music. My favourite Aussie artists are Steph Strings and Kim Churchill. They’re the true meaning of “down to earth.” My favourite movies are Forrest Gump and The Notebook. I enjoy watching characters who stay true to themselves throughout life, and the people around them who witness and share in their journey toward a meaningful life. My favourite books are Holes by Louis Sachar and The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett. I enjoyed these stories because they explore how children’s psychology works and how they discover their true identities. Both books also made me reflect on my own upbringing and early childhood, and it felt meaningful to process those memories.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’ve done the 1km ocean swim in Manly, Sydney for the past two years, and I’m doing it again next year to keep it as my tradition every February. 🌊

Teach, Learn, Share

I used to be a financial analyst in Sydney, but I’ve recently moved back home to Seoul and kicked off my own gig in the education space. I made a conscious choice to build a life I’m genuinely excited to wake up to every morning. Happy to share what it’s been like making the switch, the bumps and wins along the way, and the goals I’m chasing now.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Zest for life, a good laugh, and an impression that’ll stick with you.
