I've been to university, worked in a brewery, a property firm and pharmaceuticals but today I just want to be free to travel, meet new people, learn new things and see a little more of the world. I'm open minded and love to be challenged.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I'd like to take time out from a busy work life to see a little more of the world. I know that one day I'll probably need to settle down but I'm not ready yet!

One day, when I do settle in my own place, I'd love to host couch surfers so I can continue to learn about the world, meet new people and enjoy their experiences.

兴趣

I love to cook, try new tastes and learn new things. If I'm a visitor in your house then I'd be more than happy to cook for you and share my home favorites. Outside the home I sail well and windsurf terribly but I like them both. I also like bouldering and hiking when I get the opportunity.

People fascinate me - I love to hear their stories and to tell them mine. When I had a 'proper office job' I was a market researcher because it let me talk to a wide range of people and learn to see life from their perspective. There's no point living without learning and being challenged to think a little!

One more unusual interest I have is poi spinning. When everyday life gets too much this is my escape.

My favorite books are Catch 22, To Kill a Mockingbird. and everything Terry Pratchett. I like the humor that comes through in all these works even while sometimes making a very serious point.

I can't pin down my favorite music! I like quite a wide range. From 80s to current chart to Einaudi - variety is the spice of life!

I find it hard to find the time to watch movies, but one that I keep coming back to is Sliding Doors, which is timeless.

I recently went to Kenya and helped to open 2 shops & 2 salons during a 3 month stay. The shopkeepers are still doing well today :)

I love to learn - teach me anything! In exchange I can share with you the mine of trivia I have picked up on my ventures. In particular, I can share my food and my stories. I'd like to learn to cook wherever I go in the world and so I hope I'll build up a nice repertoire for you. I'm also a sailing instructor, so if you want a lesson I can provide that too!
