ABOUT ME

I'm 21, I have lived in Brisbane my whole life. Up until a year ago I had never left Australia, so I went to Europe to see what it was like. Then I met an American guy in Brisbane and we started going out, so he asked if I wanted to come to LA with him to meet his dad. So I did, and now we are on the West Coast of North America, travelling to Seattle, Olympia, Portland, possibly San Francisco, then to Montreal in cold cold Canada. I don't have any permanent job or course in Australia, right before this trip I was just working full-time for three months to save up. My "mission" at the top of the page is from the Simon and Garfunkel song America-I have been singing it loudly and off-key to annoy my boyfriend. He doesn't like the song for some reason but I do, and it will be my theme song for the rest of my trip here.

I have never couchsurfed before, but I hope that will change really soon! When I get back home I will start hosting couchsurfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My boyfriend Adam hosted a German guy, we all became really great friends and Andy (the German guy) started staying at my place when Adam went to America a week before me. Now I've moved out of my room for two months while I'm travelling, and Andy has fallen in love with a good friend of mine has moved into my room with her. I think it's a beautiful example of how people can become genuine friends through CS. And everything came full circle-Andy came from overseas to stay with Adam, then Adam went overseas and Andy stayed at my place, then I went overseas and Andy moved in to my place and as a bonus, fell in love. I hope this all makes sense. one big happy family brought about by couchsurfing.
