ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Clare and I'm 34. I work as an editor from home. I am not a very extroverted person, which can be difficult for me and others at times, because people can think I'm being rude. I'm not someone who stays out at raging parties until early in the morning...sorry. I try to be sincere. I like conversations which are thoughtful exchanges of ideas, this may seem a bit serious, but I can laugh too.

PHILOSOPHY

I think one of the most important things in life is to live outside your comfort zone - this is the only way to expand who you are. Having said that, I find it difficult at times!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

This is all new to me, but I'm interested in trying new things. I like to meet people, learn about them and their experience. I love where I live and would enjoy the opportunity to show people around. I also would enjoy sharing France with anyone who was happy to show me around :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had one couch surfing experience: a French couple cooked buscuits at my place for their market stall. It was a great opportunity for me to practise my French!

Interests

I enjoy learning french. Last year I spent 3 months in France and two of those months I was at a language school in Toulouse. This year I hope to go to New Caledonia for two weeks in August for another language immersion.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like most genres of movies except horror and senseless violence. I enjoy foreign films because they show different cultures.
I read a lot, fiction and non-fiction, quality and trash.

I have been an English teacher in the past. I would love to share my skills and learn language skills from others.
