About Me

Recently took up a job in Myanmar. I am living in Yangon since June 2019. Look forward to meet new friends in Myanmar and explore the country.

Below is a little about myself in the past year or so...

I resigned from my job in March 2018 to take a slightly longer break to do the things I otherwise could not with a full-time job. I spent some time traveling outside as well as in Malaysia.

In June, I cycled around my own country, spending 35 days on the road, meeting old friends and new people, and experience new things.

I planned to visit a few more places before getting back to work, preferably places where local CS can be part of.

I enjoy good food, coffee, coversation, hiking. I also enjoy cooking, to create food not from recipe but from grandma's pinch of anything and everything. There are so many more ingredients pairing that I continually to discover when I am in the kitchen. Somewhat like finding love.

Having grown up on a small island, beach and the sun brings me joy. I love swimming and those lovely sweet-tasting coconut which used to cost close to nothing.

I find architectures fascinating. I once wanted to study interior design, then realise I already have the eye and interest for it, no need a degree to teach me any of those. There are plenty that we can learn if we open our hearts to them.

Interests

I take pride in experiencing my life to the best that I can. I find pleasure in engaging with people who triggers my mind.

Music, Movies, and Books

I can never get tired reading books from Haruki Murakami and Nick Hornby. Recently found two even better authors - Ilya Boyashov and Tom Winter.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A long bus ride in a foreign country, that tiresome moment greeted by kindness of its people, or the magnificent of its scenery, or simply a heavy downpour that offers a free shower!
