CURRENT MISSION

I'm currently travelling around the beautiful country of New Zealand with my backpack and camera, enjoying this amazing experience to the fullest and loving every second - even the 'bad' moments.

I also really want to learn Spanish when I return home

ABOUT ME

Like a lot of people I've always wanted to see the world. Like even more people I didn't do much about it. Until recently...

- I bought a plane ticket (or three to be precise)
- Saved my butt off and sold all my uneeded items to raise funds.
- And quit my job.

The rest as they say, is history and now I'm on an amazing solo voyage, I began in South East Asia in September 2014 and I'm travelling around New Zealand Jan 2015 until March.

What else? I love food, being active, laughing, sharing and learning from everyone I meet and beautiful skies. I've realised as a solo traveller we are never really alone, I'm lucky enough to have met the most amazing people at the most unexpected times and now can't imagine my life without out them in it.

PHILOSOPHY

A year ago I learnt the most important thing in life is to be happy. A simple lesson really but one that we don't often follow.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Couchsurfing is a great way to meet people you may never have the chance to meet usually. I'm here to swap stories, experiences and share some laughter.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've stayed in hostels, big and small all around Asia and spent over a month living in Bali at a workaway experience living in a community of 8 volunteers.

As soon as I get home to the UK, I'll be opening up my home to couchsurfers from all over the world to help repay the favour.

Interests

Photography, the outdoors, healthy eating, learning, I've recently taken up yoga although I'm still very much a beginner!

Running, Pilates, netball, karate.

Trekking up mountains is a recent favourite pastime of mine!

ONE? Just one? Until I'd been on this trip one would have sufficed but now...

Seen the sunrise over the Taj Mahal

Rode the mountainous Hai Van Pass in Vietnam on a motorbike

Saw the sun disappear over the side of the earth in Pho quoc

Swam with the magical phosphorescent plancton in the moonlight in the beautiful Maya Bay

Watched a meteor shower lying on top of a roof terrace at night in Bali

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to learn anything, new skills, cultures, hobbies, the list goes on. (I'd love to learn how to play the guitar and really kick off my yoga journey)
