ABOUT ME

I think my friends would consider me goofy and also very empathetic. I really enjoy discussing things that are bigger than us. I don't steer away from deep conversations because it actually makes me feel more comfortable knowing that I'm amongst like-minded people. I always make sure that people are having a good time and I really care about making people happy.

I'm an only child and I come from a Portuguese family. I've learned to be on my own while also enjoying time with my friends without feeling the need to always be the entertainer!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This is mine and my best friend Tina's FIRST TIME couch surfing! Tina is from Egypt and I'm from Portugal so we are always traveling to those places - but we're ready to get to know USA a little more ;) Instead of getting an AirBnB or trying to find hotels, we want to make friends. We want to learn about these places through people who have been living there! We want to expand our horizons when it comes to our friendships and hope that we may connect with many people on this journey.

EXPERIENCE HOSTING

We haven't hosted anyone (yet!) but once we have our experience, we're more than happy to pay it forward :)

Passionate about yoga, poetry, wine, whiskey, coffee (obviously a liquid enthusiast) I am a huge fan of Elliott Smith (I have a tattoo for him!) and I really enjoy singing! I also have a fascination with Outer Space and the Universe. I enjoy reading a lot and some of my favorite authors include Margaret Atwood, Marukami, and Bukowski. I like to collect books, bags, and sunglasses.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

While I was in college I was in a class that enabled its students to work closely with an individual with disabilities to find their passion for a final project. Many students dropped out because, as you can imagine, it was a difficult journey. I really became best friends with this woman named Marilyn. She suffered many physical and mental disabilities and actually lost her best friend months before I started to work with her. We both wrong a song together because she loves country music and singing. Our final project was a song we wrote together for her best friend. She cried, I cried, it changed my life to see Marilyn do something so powerful.

I am allergic to pets :'( It's a truly sad life. So, I can't stay somewhere with any pets! Even hypoallergenic pets...just to be safe.

I'm a deep sleeper and really don't mind noise. I'm not a huge party animal but would be very down for a couple here and there! I really like relaxing with coffee and taking walks and taking pics!
