Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I want to participate through hosting people and being hosted, spreading the idea of couch surfing to my friends who don't know about it yet.
i love to get in touch with so may different people with different cultural and religious roots even though I am not religious.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My son is a couchsurfer. When was occupied I hosted his guests. One time there was a Turkish girl from Istanbul and another time I offered a bed to a girl from Budapest. then I started with my own cs account.
In 2013 I have been traveling alone (my husband doesn`t fly in an aeroplane)to Singapour, Indonesia and Malaysia. In Kuala Lumpur I made my first CS experienece and it was very different to staying at a hostel being together with a local family.

Music, Movies, and Books
one of my favourite films is «Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain», I love all the movies of Pedro Almodovar and of Jim Jarmusch. Graphic novels such as persepolis , waltz with bashir, Habibi. South-American authors Garcia Marquez, isabel allende.I like criminal novels and all the books of Syrian novelist Rafik Shami. And my music is Manu Chao, the songs of Victor Jara but also music of Nirvana, Red Hot Chily Peppers, Metallica, Pink Floyd etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I raised two extraordinary sons. Seeing them grow up is the most amazing thing I've seen. Now the elder one teaches me Yoga and the younger one taught me how to travel alone as he spent one year in Cambodia and I visited him there. After this experience I travelled one year later alone through Indonesia, Singapur and Malaysia. In Malaysia I visited friends working for the Malaysian Red Crescent, for the IFRC and ICRC and it was very touching to experience so far away from home being part of an international organisation.
Another amazing thing was joining volunteers from the French Red Cross in Paris distributing food and drinks at night in the Quartier Latin to the homeless.
Teach, Learn, Share
People I host can learn about the historical background of the city of Ulm - the native town of Albert Einstein and we can cook and prepare cake together.
